Did you resolve to eat healthier this year? Was it a commitment to a certain diet, like paleo, or to cut something out, like reduce sugar? There are so many different ways and methods of eating healthy, which one appealed to you?
We can all agree that eating organic is a very healthy choice. All those toxins used to produce food on a large scale are negatively impacting our population. Unfortunately, organic foods are still not a very affordable option for all families. Here just in time for all those New Year’s Resolutions- Fresh Wash has rejoined the Norwex family!
Buying all organic food may not be within your family’s budget, but by using Fresh Wash, your fruits and vegetables will get much closer to organic than they were before. This all-natural, plant-based, biodegradable formula removes residue from chemicals, dirt, wax, oil and bacteria. It contains no phosphates, parabens, SLS or SLES so you won’t be adding more chemicals.
For many, we were taught to just rinse off our produce with water before eating it. One day though, it occurred to me, farmers don’t respray all their crop after it rains, so what is a water rinse really going to do for our fruits and veggies? Not much. In our age of farming, washing fruits and veggies with a wash is a necessity.
Fresh Wash can be used as a spray or a soak. I like the soak option because then the solution can permeate the fruit or veggie skin to clean. Just add half an ounce to 2 cups of water and soak your favorite fruits or veggies! Even after soaking it, the produce doesn’t have an after taste from the solution. I’ve noticed that with some produce washes, you can taste the solution even after rinsing off. When you soak produce in Fresh Wash right after bringing it home from the store, you can extend the shelf life of your fruits and veggies too. By removing the contaminants from the produce, you get rid of what makes it decay more rapidly.
I wish you well on your endeavors to eat healthier this year! I hope that you will be motivated to be more conscious of what you are putting in your body because YOU are worth it!

I buy organic most of the time, but sometimes it isn’t possible to find what I want. This sounds like a great way to make conventional produce safer for my family on those occasions when I do need to buy it. Very cool that this product also helps fruits and vegetables last longer.
Another safety tip I read recently about produce is that, in order to avoid cross contamination, you should be sure not to store it below meats in your fridge. Or storing it in breathable cloth bags can also help you keep in safer and fresher in the fridge.
