Chances are, your fruits and veggies are not truly clean – especially if you just rinse them under the sink for a couple seconds and shake them off. I know, it is easier that way and they look kinda clean! News flash – the pesticide and chemical buildup will remain on your produce until you truly clean them off.
I’m not talking about taking hand soap and a sponge and scrubbing each individual grape until it shines. I’m talking about the Norwex Fresh Produce Wash – a plant-based, biodegradable concentrate that removes unwanted chemical residue, wax, dirt, oil and bacteria! This cleaner will truly save you time and effort, and it’s simple. It’s also free of phosphates, sulfates and parabens.
These are grapes that I picked up from the grocery store. We filled a bowl full of water and added about 10 sprays of the Fresh Produce Wash to the water, then dumped the entire bag of grapes in! After the grapes soaked in the water mixture for about 10 minutes, we dried them out in a strainer. The grapes stayed crispy all week for my kids to take for lunch.
That is it. It could not get any easier! And I’m telling you, ALL of the chemical residue will come off! No more waxy fruits full of pesticides; that is a thing of the past.
Did I mention that your produce will actually stay fresh and last longer? When our family comes home from the grocery store, we wash all of our fruits and veggies that day and store them in Tupperware containers in the fridge. They last all week! Grapes are still crispy, raspberries don’t get soggy, and celery doesn’t turn that yucky brown color.
Try it for yourself and SEE the dirt cloud up the water. Just think – that is what you were putting into your body by just rinsing it quickly under water and drying it off.
If you’re already a fan of this, try our Veggie & Fruit Scrub Cloth! With just water and the Veggie Cloth, you can peel your carrots and potatoes, and wash the hard surfaces of your apples to get that waxy coating off. Just rinse the hard layered produce under water and scrub it with the rough side of the cloth, the nylon in the cloth will take off the chemical coating on the outside of the produce. Super easy!
