Its time to get patriotic! The Fourth of July is such a fun day to remember the excellent country we live in and the freedoms we enjoy. Thank you everyone that makes this day possible! To me, nothing is more fun on a holiday than grilling so we will be firing up the grill and BBQ-ing anything we can get our hands on (slight exaggeration)!
Ribs
Get enough for the whole crowd! Usually, about a half rack per person. Of course, ribs need to be slathered in BBQ sauce, but wait just a minute! If you want to keep it gluten-free, make sure your sauce is clean, which might require some research. Check out this “Gluten-Free Barbecue Sauce” article to find out which sauces you’ll want stay away from.
Grilled Corn
I usually just grill the corn and rub it with butter and salt, but I’m excited to try something a little different this year. This Grilled Corn on the Cob with Honey-Butter recipe looks delicious, so that is what I will be trying this weekend! Do you have any innovative ways of making grilled corn?
Watermelon-can’t celebrate without it!
Red, White and Blueberry Gluten-Free, Dairy-free Cheesecake
Refreshing and light. After you make my Modified Family Recipe Cheesecake, add some strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Make them in to a cute pattern! I’d love to see photos of your designs!
S’mores!
Before or after fireworks, pull out the extra gluten-free graham crackers that you used for the cheesecake and enjoy a late-night snack!
Happy Fourth of July! I hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends!
